Miami United Awards Night

A family evening to reward the players and to present the new faces leading the team.

The Miami United FC family gathered on a special night at Surfside’s Villa Castelli restaurant in Miami to award the most outstanding players of last season. The club’s CEO, Roberto Sacca, announced the club is about to start a new phase, and for this they will have a new president, Miguel Nasur, an international businessman and a legend as a player and sports director in Chile and at an international level.

More strength for MUF
Miguel Nasur has spent his whole life at the service of sport.    In addition, Miami United FC also announced that other members of the Nasur Group will also be contributing with their professionalism to the club. Juan Miguel Nasur will be the club’s new marketing Director, Sebastian Nasur will take over as Assistant Manager and Mathias Silva will be Miami’s New Team Manager.

Juan Miguel reaffirmed the club’s values in this new phase, and Sacca said that they are talking with two referents of South American soccer to bring them closer to MUFC: Juan Román Riquelme, the idol of Boca Juniors and Diego Forlán, the implacable Uruguayan striker.

Awards night
At a simple but emotive ceremony, MUFC awarded Julio César “Rambo” de León as MVP 2016.  Ezequiel Tejera was also awarded as Best Goal of the Year and the promising young star of local soccer Thomas Degen as MVP Youth 2016.  Arturo Enamorado, from the Honduran-USA Chamber of Commerce, represented Rambo, while Oscar Amuz of Autism Soccer and part of the MUFC family, reminded the audience of the team’s commitment to the community and autistic children in particular.  There were also prizes for outstanding players of the U19 team.

With the community
Miami United FC is the historic team of the city of Miami founded in 2002, under the slogan “Bringing the community together for the LOVE of the game.” It is a team that gets involved with the community, and the only team in the world that has a special child as part of their team, Héctor de Olivera, in jersey #43, who follows the team closely, is always courtside and goes into the locker rooms along with the players.

He served the club as both founder and team president since its inception four years ago. Having been crowned the “Champions of Florida” twice in four years, the team has gained great recognition in both the NPSL and around the world through his leadership. In addition to the club´s 1st team successes competing in the National Premier Soccer League, the U21 squad were also crowned Champions as well. Also, during his management several players have gone on to compete professionally in both Europe and South America.

Una noche en familia para premiar a los jugadores y presentar la nuevas caras al frente del equipo.

La familia del club Miami United FC se reunió en una noche especial en el restaurante Villa Castelli de Surfside en Miami para premiar a los jugadores más destacados de la temporada pasada. El CEO del club, Roberto Sacca, anunció que el club está por iniciar una nueva etapa, y por esto tendrá también un nuevo Presidente Miguel Nasur, un hombre de negocios a nivel internacional y una leyenda como jugador y director deportivo en Chile y a nivel internacional.

Más fuerza para el MUFC
Miguel Nasur, ha estado toda su vida al servicio del deporte. Además de él, el Miami United FC también anunció que otros miembros del grupo Nasur estarán contribuyendo con su profesionalismo al club.  Juan Miguel Nasur será el nuevo Director de marketing del club, Sebastian Nasur tomará el cargo de Subdirector y Mathias silva será el nuevo Director del equipo.

Juan Miguel reafirmó los valores del Club en ésta nueva etapa, y Sacca adelantó que están en conversaciones con dos referentes del fútbol sudamericano para acercarlos al MUFC: Juan Román Riquelme el ídolo de Boca Juniors y Diego Forlán, el implacable goleador uruguayo.

Noche de Premios
En una sencilla y emotiva ceremonia, el MUFC premió a Julio César “Rambo” de León como el MVP 2016. También a Ezequiel Tejera como el Mejor Gol del año y a la joven promesa del fútbol local Thomas Degen como MVP Youth 2016. Arturo Enamorado, de la Honduran-USA Chamber of Commerce representó a Rambo, mientras que Oscar Amuz, de Autism Soccer y parte de la familia MUFC, recordó a los asistentes el compromiso del equipo con la comunidad y los niños autistas en especial. También hubo premios para jugadores destacados del equipo U19.

Miami United FC es el equipo histórico de la ciudad de Miami fundado en el 2002, bajo el eslogan “Bringing the community together for the LOVE of the game.”
